I am convinced, with all of my soul, there is no greater art than to show kindness to the needy. Could it be possible a gentle word, a sincere laugh, and common tears might be the most noble and divine strokes of genius? If my life can draw honesty, or my heart can paint compassion, or my hands sculpt comfort, or my voice speak truthfully, perhaps I may say of my utmost-mundane of tasks, "It is art". To leave the mark of love, where there was none, is the tour de force of all creators.
Every blessed once in while I see what Schumann saw, when he said "To send light into the darkness of men's hearts - such is the duty of the artist."
